Weredog and the UK leaving the EU (Brexit)
On 1st January 2021, the UK left the EU and the 'transition period' ended. Therefore we no longer charge UK (or EU) VAT to customers outside the UK.
This means that the prices EU customers pay from 2021 will be reduced by 20% compared to 2020.
The prices will be automatically calculated at the checkout when you input your delivery country, and in most cases will be shown on the pages for the items you add to the basket. VPNs can affect this as our site works on Country IPs to show correct costs.
When your order arrives in your country, it will be assessed by your country's customs authority and local VAT/import tax added to the order. This amount may include a processing fee but the total cost will depend on your country's own tax rules.
Some EU countries have lower VAT than the UK and some have higher. Some countries have a threshold for import duty, so your order may or may not be liable for this. Therefore, you are probably best placed to work out the estimated extra cost (if anything) due when your order arrives in your own country.
Postal services now require us to give customs information electronically in advance to help ease any delays. We, therefore, hope that things won't take too much longer to arrive than they did before Brexit.
